Here is how to give Austereo Executives a taste of their own medicine.
The aim is to send them offensive emails and tell them that this is OK, because it is similar to what their station broadcasts on the air for children to listen to.
The instructions are:
1) Use a subject header that relates to business, such as "Sales enquiry" or "Staff Leave" or "Car parking problem", or "Advertising" or "Union blacklist" or anything else that is creative. Have fun thinking up your own.
2) Get straight to the point in the email. But you will have to disguise the offensive words to avoid the spam filters, which are quite sophisticated these days. So note the method of disguising we've used.
Dear sir/madam...then ask a question like: "Do you enjoy playing the blue-vein flute with your partner? or "I was wondering how regularly you mast er bat e?" or "When will Austereo provide a Kyle-guided lbfm trip to Thailand for its listeners?" or "I know where you can buy really big vibe rators. Cheap. Just what your radio station would love to have on the mantlepiece." or "Can you email me when the date and time of the next wnk-off competition? It's so funny!" or anything else that is creative. Have fun thinking up your own.
3) YOU MUST ADD A SENTENCE LIKE THIS... "I know you won't be offended by this. It is just like the stuff you guys broadcast every day at 2DAY FM in Sydney for children to listen to. It's just fun ;-) . No offence meant."
4) Email it to any or all of the executives below. Take pot luck. Spread the offence around.
Peter Harvie (Chairman of the Board) Peter.Harvie@austereo.com.au
Michael Anderson (CEO) Michael.Anderson@austereo.com.au
Philip S. Leggo (Group Secretary) Philip.leggo@austereo.com.au
Geraint Davies (Chief Operating Officer) Geraint.davies@austereo.com.au
Patty McCabe (Coordination) Patty.mccabe@austereo.com.au
Jeremy Macvean (Smut site strategy) Jeremy.macvean@austereo.com.au
Nikki Clarkson(National Marketing Director) Nikki.clarkson@austereo.com.au
Jenny Parkes (General Manager Sydney) Angela.briley@austereo.com.au
Kate Whitby (Publicity) Kate.whitby@austereo.com.au
Ben Amarfio(General Manager Melbourne) Ben.amarfio@austereo.com.au
Richard Barker(General Manager Brisbane) Richard.barker@austereo.com.au
You could add in the following if you have the time (but we doubt that any of them cares in the slightest):
I note that Austereo's own Corporate Code of Conduct says "The Board of Directors insist on the highest ethical standards from all officers and employees of the Company and are vigilant to ensure appropriate corporate professional conduct at all times.... All Directors and managers have an obligation to act with the utmost integrity and objectivity, striving at all times to enhance the reputation of the Company."
Obviously no one cares about these so-called standards.
Don't use it word-for word. Try to make your emails all different.
